Fabulous working party achievement!28-06-2016 | 09:28:11 | No Comments

THANK YOU on speech bubble price labels

May we say big THANK-YOU to all the members of support staff and parents and carers that volunteered to make our recent working party a great success.  We had 16 members in total thanks the efforts of support staff and a School Council appeal to parents asking for volunteers to help spruce up the outside areas of school in time for our 170th week.  They all worked so hard and did a fabulous job of general tidying up around school, painting fences and benches, gardening round our Woody tree, office area and kitchen garden.

Those participating were:

Miss Johnson, Mrs Gregory, Miss Wilkinson, Mrs Williams,  Mrs Smith, Miss Cunliffe, Mrs McKeown, Mrs Gillespie, Mrs Butler, Mrs Harrison, Adam Williams, Josh Gorman, Miss Bithell , Mrs Moreton, Mr and Mrs Bates.

Have a look at our photos below- didn’t they do well.

Hi everyone,

Now that this year’s School Councillors have almost completed their term, I just wanted to update you on all the fabulous work they have done for our school this year.

They have judged pupils competitions including our anti-bullying week design a badge or key-ring competition (we will also be running an eco-based competition soon) and raised money for The Poppy appeal, Children in need and Sports relief.  They have also brought in a new ‘Home-worker of the Half Term’ award, helped to provide new picnic benches on the field and purchased some attractive welcome to our school mats and window stickers.

We are also in discussions to bring you new after school activity clubs some time in the coming year, including a baking class and an art class and we are bringing back the lunch time adventure play class timetable as of tomorrow- details coming on Monday 20th June,

I’m sure you will agree they have been fabulous School Council members- don’t forget to tell them so!  All this year’s council members will be serving up until the summer break, so if you have any more suggestions before then, don’t forget to pass them on for September when a new council will be elected.

Thanks again to all this year’s councillors, shown below, you have achieved a lot for our school and should be very proud of yourselves.

Eggshells Appeal19-06-2016 | 14:07:16 | No Comments

We’ve added some cloches to our kitchen garden to help protect our growing crops from birds and caterpillars but we still need to provide some protection from slugs and snails.  An organic way of doing this is to place eggshells around the plants but we need your help collecting as many as possible as we have lots of plants to protect- see the poster below.  Thank you.   St David’s Garden Group.
