We all had great fun this year on Red Nose Day.  The School Council did a brilliant job of fund-raising in various ways. We sold out of noses and made lots more money for comic relief by selling Red Nose Day stickers, cakes to staff and parents and holding a raffle for a hamper full of Red Nose Day goodies.

Adding to the amount we had already made from our sweet treat sale last week, we made a total of £296, which will be doubled by the government, giving us an overall total of  £592!  Well done everyone and a big Thank you to everyone who donated.

On Thursday we had a special visit from Paul from The Blue Cross.  He had come to see us as part of Jade’s Campaign to give us a talk on dog safety.

Paul taught us how to recognise the signs of danger in dogs and what to do if we are approached by an aggressive dog.

Everyone was really well behaved and lots of children had some great answers to give.  Well done everyone and a big thank you to Paul.

Visit the section Dog safety of the blue cross website for dog safety clips or download their dog safety pamphlet- Be safe with dogs – A guide for families
