School Council Representatives 2014-15

Hi,

We the School Council have been very busy lately working on a number projects for you all.  As you will know, we brought you all a new wet play resource for the winter months, ensuring that each class had a collection of their most favourite colouring sheets to keep them busy (see the photos below).  These have been a great hit with all classes, don’t forget to let us know if we need to restock your folder.

Also we are currently working with St David’s Church in an effort to collect tins of food to donate to ‘The Brick’ homeless shelter to add to their food bank.  We think this is a great local charity to support. See their website for more details: The Brick Homeless Shelter

We are also helping some of our local councillors advertise The Brick by running a poster competition in school .  If you would like to enter, see Miss Flynn for a poster template.  The winning designs will clearly show the words ‘The Brick Homeless Shelter Wigan’ and depict the nature of their good work.  The closing date for the competition is Wednesday 18th March when we will be judging the best entries to be put forward to be judged by the councillors the following day. Good luck everyone.

This week Years 4, 5 and 6 pupils had a visit from Louisa Bibby, education officer for anti-social behaviour.

Louisa presented an assembly to all 3 classes along with a follow up lesson for each class, discussing what antI-social behaviour is, what the consequences can be and what we can do to help.

See photos of the assembly below:
